It's a little weird that I drew Chopper so quick cause he's not my fav, but I just can with his baby design... I wanted his post TS designs to be more monstrery and they are all cute T_T

So there, he's a teenager now with a very big hat. I'm not really re designing these characters, just twisting them to fit my mental image better so I kept his clothes and everything (I'm not a fan of the hat's colour palette but they suit his personality at least)

Also, I was quite inspired by @liliaceaae design, check out her art (and her OC!) , it's always so cool!

Something something tim drake who has never been put first by anyone he's ever loved in his life being told he is not only kon's first but also his only robin..... for the only thing that kon cared abt to be the fact that tim felt wanted and treasured and important to someone....., that he didn't give a damn about how other ppl might feel about what he just said....... esp knowing that he literally had his home and title and dad ripped from him in the last year......

HAPPY BIRTHDAY, GALACTA KNIGHT!!!! And congratulations to Meta Knight for experiencing the Cain Instinct for the first time.

Galacta Knight, as you might've been able to tell already, is one of my favorite characters, and KSSU is one of my favorite games (the original SS was my introduction to Kirby!) so I wanted to go all out. Happy day, old man. I pray for at least 20 more years.

Oh, and don't worry! He's not upset about the cake smash, he thinks it's funny. And he got back at him.

As for the in-universe explanation for there being 16 candles in his cake?

... 500+ didn't fit in safely.

I think today’s entry is probably the nail in the coffin—ha ha—for the last crumb of hope that Jonathan might find aid in Dracula’s domain. That hope didn’t fizzle out when Dracula revealed and destroyed his letters (one in front of him, the other doubtlessly behind closed doors). It didn’t snuff when he found all his stationery stolen. He held onto it. That one final grain of Maybe…maybe there’s still a chance…

Because, as has been suggested elsewhere, he could tell himself that maybe the last people he tossed his letters to had no choice in handing them over to the Count. The people in Bistritz had no choice but to obey, even as they tried to help Jonathan covertly. I picture Jonathan telling himself this ad infinitum.

They tried, but the Count threatened them, as he went to gather more paper.

They tried, but they had kin to protect, as he discovered he was robbed.

They tried, they were thwarted, but at least there is someone else here, and maybe…maybe there’s a chance… as he tried not to think of sharp teeth and joining Dracula for another night of company.

And today, that kernel of hope flowered—People! Living human people! Look, help, please! Something is terribly wrong here! I am trapped, I am slated for death and worse, he might mean the same for you! Please, while it’s daylight, the door, the door..!—and was crushed.

There’s a lot to be said by more informed people about the language Stoker has him use; by Doylist lens it’s meant to be the author actively insulting and demonizing, by the Watsonian lens it’s Jonathan working from the only terms he has from a limited/incorrect source of information in his Very English guidebooks, give or take the venting of his first real bit of vitriol towards anyone other than Dracula and the Weird Sisters.

What gets me narratively is that he stopped to say anything about the people who brought the boxes beyond ‘The Count’s people brought boxes. They laughed when I begged for help. And then they drove away.’ He’s been silent for days and getting progressively less descriptive. Why linger on the people before and after mentioning the cargo of empty boxes?

My guess is because of the anger. The hurt of receiving concrete proof that he is alone here. That he was betrayed when he gave them his letters. That the animals and the living and the dead are all Dracula’s legion in the mountains as surely as he is the bastard’s caged property. That he left behind human camaraderie the second Dracula drove him away from the coach.

It is a different flavor of despair—what a treat! a break in the solid block of grey misery!—if only because it spurred genuine ire from him rather than another helping of fear or sorrow. They’ll return soon, of course. Fear that he is utterly outnumbered by men and monsters. Sorrow that the only other chance at interaction left to him besides the Count was reduced to mocking laughter and then to total ignorance as they worked and he screamed.

But he writes it down. He is having a new emotion beyond despondency and there is info to preserve.

Mem.— Empty boxes delivered. No human being exists on Castle Dracula’s ground who will help me. Everyone and everything here is the Count’s. No one will help me. No one will look at me except to laugh. I am all that I have.

I dont understand how the same man who wrote the absolute insulting atrocity that is the Harley & Ivy comic (and the fuckint Harvest comic i stg) is the same one behind the Harley & Ivy episode and this

[Ivy disappearing on the other line is because she Immediately left when she heard what Joker had said.

She may have been teasing Harley and laughing at first when she was going on about all the things planned for her birthday night with her love, probably because Ivy knows he doesn't have a romantic hone in his entire body. but the second he Actually did something, he pulled the plug on her special night because he wanted to go do the "Yacht Club Job", she wasn't having it.

"No way was that going to happen."

"Look at her smile. Isn't this better than robbing that stuffy old yacht club? So glad I ran into you en route."

Just those lines of hers :')

Like even though she thinks he sucks and she knows he probably wouldn't have made the night as wonderful as Harley deserved in the first place, damnit she deserved Something. something other than him leaving her behind on standby in case they need a get away driver.]

like does this man flip a coin every time he writes Ivy and decides whether or not he wants to characterize her accurately or make her essentially a joker stand in purely so they can add plain ol' slapstick humor. it's fucking baffling to me. like who the fuck creates a character who's in YOUR og canon an abuse victim and the literal episode her and Ivy meet in that fact is reiterated time and time again. it built Ivy up as someone that really is going to care about her and wants to help her improve her mental health because he's destroyed her self esteem.

and then to take that bond YOU made and throw them into a disgusting, over sexualized comic that you incorporate fucking slapstick humor into?!?! Like wtf is wrong with him how do you manage to create a couple great (female centric) stories but most of the time just come off as nasty and frankly sexist.
